Spring 2026 Grand Mesa Little League Registration – Now Open!

Thank you for your interest in Baseball and Softball with Grand Mesa Little League! Proudly located in Grand Junction, Colorado, GMLL provides a positive, competitive, and community-driven environment where players of all experience levels can learn, grow, and thrive.

Whether your player is stepping onto the field for the first time or returning for another season at our park, we’re excited to welcome your family for another great spring. A great season starts with strong community involvement—and we’re grateful to have you with us.


⚾ Registration Timeline & Late Fees

  • Online registration remains open until early April 2026

  • A non-negotiable $25 late fee per player will be assessed beginning March 7, 2026

💡 Early Bird Discount
👉 Register by January 21, 2026 and save $25 per child by using code GMEarlyS26 at checkout.

Late registration limits placement options and may result in waitlisting.


🚨 Division Capacity & Waitlists

To ensure meaningful playing time and appropriate roster sizes:

  • Each division and team has a strict maximum capacity

  • Once capacity is reached, players will be placed on a waitlist

  • All registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis

Do not wait to register. Divisions fill quickly each spring.


👥 Coach & Teammate Requests

We understand the importance of teammate and coach continuity, especially in younger divisions.

  • Requests will be honored when possible, but are not guaranteed

  • Requests are prioritized by registration date

  • Each team has a limited number of allowable requests

⚠️ Little League Rule Notice
Due to Little League draft regulations, coach and teammate requests cannot be honored in the Major Baseball or Major Softball divisions. All players in these divisions are assigned through the official draft process in full compliance with Little League rules.


🗓️ Spring 2026 Game Schedule Overview

All Grand Mesa home games:

  • 🕕 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday

  • 🕗 Limited 8:00 PM games on Fridays

  • ⚾ Teams may also play on select Saturdays

Travel Information

  • Baseball

    • Pee-Wee / T-Ball / Rookie: No travel

    • Minor–Senior: Very limited travel may occur based on interleague agreements (to be finalized)

  • Softball

    • Local travel within the valley (Orchard Mesa & Fruita)

    • Additional District 1 travel (CRV / Three Rivers), primarily on Saturdays


🧢 Spring 2026 Divisions

Baseball & Softball

  • Pee-Wee: Ages 3–4

  • T-Ball: Ages 4–6

  • Rookie Baseball: Ages 6–8

  • Beginner Softball (Coach Pitch – Girls): Ages 6–8
    (Players league age 8 may not have previously played in this division)

  • Minor Baseball: Ages 8–10

  • Minor Softball: Ages 8–10 (Player Pitch Only)

  • Major Baseball: Ages 9–12

  • Major Softball: Ages 9–12

  • Junior/Senior Baseball: Ages 12–16

  • Junior/Senior Baseball – High School Players: Ages 14–16
    (High school players will join the Jr/Sr season after May 15)

  • Junior/Senior Softball: Ages 12–16

📣 Important dates, evaluations, schedules, and field assignments will be posted on the Grand Mesa Little League website and Facebook page as the season approaches.


💻 How to Register

  • Online: Complete registration through this site

  • In-Person: Available only at scheduled registration events
    (Dates and locations to be announced)

Private or individual registration appointments are not available


❗ Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations must be submitted by March 1, 2026 to be eligible for a refund

  • No refunds will be issued after this date for any reason

🛡️ Optional Registration Insurance
Optional insurance will be offered during online registration to cover unforeseen season cancellations or player injuries. This insurance is optional, not affiliated with, and does not financially benefit Grand Mesa Little League, but is recommended for families seeking additional peace of mind.

  • Pee-Wee: $65

  • T-Ball: $100

  • Rookie: $150

  • Minor & Major Baseball: $185

  • Minor Softball & Above: $185

  • Junior/Senior Baseball: $185

  • Junior/Senior Baseball (High School Player): $100

Grand Mesa Little League – 2026 Baseball Program Description

Founded in 1963, Grand Mesa Little League is proud to enter its 63rd year of providing high-quality, character-building baseball opportunities for youth across the Grand Valley. As one of Colorado’s most successful Little League programs, we remain committed to developing strong athletes, confident young leaders, and a lifelong love of the game.

Grand Mesa Little League exists to teach baseball fundamentals, promote sportsmanship, and create a safe, positive environment where every player can grow. We emphasize:
Skill development appropriate to each age level
Teamwork, respect, and personal responsibility
Competitive play balanced with fair participation
Strong volunteer leadership and community involvement
Our program serves as an extension of the values we believe youth sports should uphold: integrity, hard work, and fun.



Program Structure

Grand Mesa Little League offers divisions for players ages 4–16, allowing athletes to develop through progressive levels of play:
T-Ball (ages 4–6): Introduction to game basics, confidence-building, and fun.
Rookie/Machine Pitch (ages 6–8): Fundamentals, throwing, catching, hitting, and early teamwork.
Minors (ages 8–10): Player pitching; enhanced defensive and offensive development.
Majors (ages 10–12): Competitive play, advanced rules, and preparation for tournament opportunities.
Juniors (ages 12–14): Full-size field, advanced strategies, and competitive progression.
Seniors (ages 13–16): High-level baseball with opportunities for district, state, and regional tournament play.
Players are drafted or placed on teams in accordance with official Little League regulations to ensure balanced, development-focused competition.



Season Timeline

Registration: Opens NOW through the end of March
Player Evaluations: March TBA (certain divisions)
Practices: Begin in Late March
Regular Season Games: April through mid June
All-Star/Tournament Season: Mid-June practices through late July for eligible divisions based on tournament advancement.
Grand Mesa also offers Fall Ball, skills clinics, and optional off-season development opportunities.



Fields & Facilities

Grand Mesa Little League operates out of one of the most historic and well-maintained youth baseball complexes in Colorado. Our facility features:
Five dedicated Little League fields
Fully Lit Batting Cages
Practice spaces
A fully staffed concession stand
Well lit, safe play area for younger players and siblings.
Scoreboards, lighting, and shaded spectator areas
A safe, family-friendly environment for players and parents
Each field is maintained with care by our volunteers to ensure an outstanding game-day experience.



Volunteer-Driven Excellence

As a 100% volunteer-powered organization, GMLL thrives because of the parents, coaches, board members, community partners, and local supporters who invest their time and talents into our athletes. All volunteers must complete annual background screening to ensure the highest level of safety for our players. League leadership background screening is conducted at a district level, all coaches, umpires, team parents, etc. are screened at the league level through our volunteer application.
