The Grand Mesa Little League Presidents Scholarship application period is NOW OPEN! If playing this season might create a financial hardship for your family, please apply ASAP! The scholarship window will close February 28, 2025, or as soon as scholarships have been exhausted so please apply ASAP.
Grand Mesa Little League firmly believes that each child who wishes to play baseball or softball should be able to do so regardless of skill, gender, or financial circumstances. Our league will not deny any child a chance to play baseball due t o a financial hardship.
Grand Mesa Presidents Scholarship Program
To aid parents who may need assistance with fees and costs, Grand Mesa Little League has a comprehensive scholarship program that covers the following areas:
✔️Full scholarships that cover all registration fees.
✔️Partial scholarships that cover a portion of the registration fees.
✔️Assistance with uniforms and equipment needs that are required to be a part of the team and participate in baseball and/or softball play through our Play it Forward program, when available.
How to Apply for a Scholarship
The scholarship request process is very straightforward. To ensure proper due diligence, every scholarship request is examined and assessed on its own merit.
Once the scholarship form has been submitted, the Grand Mesa Little League Scholarship Committee will review the request.
The Scholarship review period can take up to 7 days to complete.
Within 5 Days: The Scholarship Committee will respond indicating the scholarship has been received, ask questions, and/or ask for additional documentation.
Within 7 Days: The Scholarship Committee will respond via e-mail with a decision on the scholarship request.
Once approved, you will be provided a unique code that will be used for registration.
Terms and Conditions
If the scholarship request is approved, the following terms and conditions will apply:
⚾The scholarship covers the registration and uniform fees, in all or in part, for only one season.
⚾Each child you are needing a scholarship for must be indicated in the scholarship application. If you have more than 4 children you may need to complete the application more than once.
⚾Parent or legal guardian agrees to "re-pay" the League through FULL participation in the league fundraiser, as well as volunteering for league functions and activities (for ex, helping with Opening Day, working the snack bar, helping with teams, etc) if so requested. Failure to participate without consideration and consent from the league may jeapordize potential All-Star selection.
⚾A registration form must be completed for the player - providing essential details including address, contact information and medical authorization. This must be completed within 3 days of scholarship approval.
⚾Players who are participating on a scholarship must complete the entirety of their season, attend a strong majority of their games/practices and follow all rules or risk losing future scholarship eligibility.
